Virtue of poverty

Niay lisud kaayong buhaton, bisan pa niadtong mga tawo nga atong gituhoan nga mga relihiyoso ug mga alagad sa Ginoo. Pahimangno ni Jesus: “The virtue of poverty is the desire to abandon more and more things in your daily life so that you may have fewer bonds holding you back from Me.”

Lisud no? Morag wa na man ni karon… bisan niadtong mga alagad sa Ginoo nga duna untay gisunod nga vow of poverty. Sa ato nang gibalikbalik dinhi, subra na kaayo ang pagka-kalibutanon sa kalibutan, materyalistic na gyud kaayo.

Lalim, kon gusto kang mahiduol kanunay sa Ginoo, ipa-abandon ang mga butang ning kalibutan, mga butang nga  makapahilayo  kanimo  sa  Ginoo.  Pananglitan  ang corruption, lisud ning biyaan uy!

Mipadayon si Jesus: “My child, if you sincerely desire to advance in perfection, free yourself of all earthly attachments. Do it first by breaking away from whatever draws your will toward sin.”  Samot kalisud.

Moingon kita sa atong kaugalingon: “Kon unsa man ako karon, kon unsa man ang ako karong naangkon, ako kining paningkamotan ug binudlayan… ug karon, ako ning i-abandon?”  Lisud no? Padayon ang corruption.

Dugang ni Jesus: “True, you cannot abandon all things in your earthly life. You must eat, work, rest, and provide for the future. However, when the virtue of poverty fills your soul, you will do all these things more perfectly. Your intention will be to do these things as I did them in My daily life, that you may be a success not only here on earth, but above all hereafter in Heaven.”

Sa ato pa, kon ang imong pagkamalampuson dinhi sa kalibutan, nahitali ka among the richest in the world, apan, kon kining tanan maoy makaingon sa imong kahitumpawakan ug kalaglagan, pagkaanugon sa imong pagbudlay.

Success  here  on  earth,  apan,  failure  in  life  hereinafter. Your choice. Ikaw ang magbuot ning tanan… Apan, kon nagsubay ka sa virtue of poverty, “you will be wise in the right use of what you need. It will free your will from its earthly preferences and will lead it on toward Jesus in your daily activities.”

Again, your choice: success here on earth… or  failure to capture Heaven!
