Ang mga batan-on kanhi ug karon

Ang mga batan-on maoy paglaum sa yutang natawhan. “The Youth is the fair hope of the Motherland,” ni Jose Rizal pa.  Mao ba? Kaha sa unang panahon. Panahon sa atong mga bayani. Karon, unsa man?

Sa iyang lindog sa Philippine Star, si Jarius Bondoc mibutyag nga ang atong mga revolutionary heroes mga batan-on. Ania: Si Graciano Lopez Jaena was 32 years old , sa iyang pagmugna sa La Solidaridad. Si Gregorio del Pilar na-presidente sa Katipunan sa edad nga 21. Si Isabelo de los Reyes, was 25, when he started writing in Ilocano and Spanish against abuses of the colonizers.

Si Marcelo del Pilar, abogado, was 30 years old, pagsugod niyag panuwat batok sa pangabuso sa mga friars. Si Andres Bonifacio, was 29 when he founded the Katipunan. Si Emilio Jacinto nga nakigbisog batok sa mga conquistador was 21 years old.  Si Apolinario Mabini, was 34 when he took on the intellectual leadership of the Malolos Republic and drafted the Constitution.

Midugang si Darius: The Filipino soldiers at Bataan and Corregidor were also young. A good number of them were college ROTC cadets, others were enlistees in their 20s in the US Armed Forces in the Far East.
