CBCP – Year of the Youth gitapos niadtong NYD2011

Gisaulog ang tinuig nga kasaulogan sa National Youth Day niadtong Disyembre 16, nga mao usab ang unang adlaw sa Misa de Gallo.  Makahuloganon kaayo kining tuiga sanglit gipahigayon man ang nasudnong kasaulogan sa ‘Tuig sa mga Batan-on’ nga gideklarar sa atong kaobispohan nga CBCP-Year of the Youth (2010- December 16 -2011).

Ang atong Artsidyosesis sa Sugbo tiunay nga nagtamud gayud sa mga lagda ug kalihokan nga gimugna gikan sa ulohan.  Gihimo sa atong lokal nga komisyon ang pagsalmot sa mga nasudnong kalihokan, rehiyonal ug artsidyosesanong pagpadayag sa bililhong papel sa mga batan-on sa kinabuhi diha sa Simbahang Catolico.

Matud pa sa maong katuyoan, “… the Year of the Youth aims to intensify awareness about the youth and their importance to the life and activity of the Church.”  Ug kini gipahingusgan gayud sa mga batan-on sa parokya, mga District Leaders, Vicariate Leaders, Parish Youth Leaders ug COY volunteers pinaagi sa mga nagkadaiyang kalihokan.

Ug tungod niining malampusong pagsaulog sa Tuig sa mga Batan-on, buot akong magpasalamat sa tanan nga niabag ug nangunay sa mga youth programs, aron ang mga batan-on sa atong Simbahan mahatagan og pagpasidungog nga ila gayud ug angay nga sila makasinati ug makadungog.

Busa magpadayon kita sa pag-ampo nga ang nasugdan ug ang gihimo nga programa alang kanila, molambo ug magmabungahon.  Giawhag ko kamo sa pag-ampo niining “Prayer for the Youth” nga gitanyag gikan sa Episcopal Commission on Youth office o ECY.

Lord, You said to Your people

“Let the children come to me, for theirs is the kingdom of God.”

You acknowledge the value of the young as You give them a significant role in Your saving plan.

We thank you, Lord, that You redeem us and let us take part in Your great plan of salvation. Open the mind of every young person to grasp completely the beauty of a life lived in Your love.

Direct those youth whose paths have gone astray. Heal those who are undergoing difficulties. Lighten the burden of those carrying responsibilities beyond their young age. Empower all our young people to influence one another along the path of holiness.

As we close the CBCP Year of the Youth, may the days ahead become stepping stones to open new possibilities and cross boundaries for the sake of our youth. Lead our hearts towards solidarity to end the chain of division leading to selfishness and destruction.

Be with us as we journey with Your young people along the way of standing firm in the faith and doing all our work in love. With Mary, mother and model, we make this prayer through Christ our Lord.  Amen.
